Who we are

Miso is an AI content assistant that helps creators and small businesses edit and publish short-form video from their own footage. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. Contact: privacy@themiso.app.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and, if you link it, your phone number (so you can talk to Miso over iMessage).
• Content you upload — the videos and photos you add to your library, and the videos Miso creates from them.
• Your conversations with Miso — the messages you exchange, so it can remember context and improve what it makes for you.
• Instagram data (only if you connect an account) — an encrypted access token, your Instagram account ID and handle, and, where you allow it, engagement metrics (views, likes, comments) on posts we published for you.
• Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

To make and publish content for you, and only for that. Specifically: to edit videos from your footage, to hold a useful conversation with you, to publish to your own connected accounts when you approve it, and to tell you what performed so future content is better.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models. We do not post anything, anywhere, without your instruction.

Instagram and Meta

If you connect an Instagram professional account, we request only the permissions needed to identify the account and publish content you approve. The access token is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before it is stored, and it is used solely to publish your content and read metrics on posts we made for you.

You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard. Disconnecting deletes the stored token immediately. You can also revoke access directly from Instagram (Settings → Apps and Websites).

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the product work: Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), Vercel (hosting), Sendblue (iMessage delivery), Stripe (payments), and AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenRouter) which process content to generate edits and replies. Each processes data only to deliver their part of the service.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your library, your generated videos, your conversation history, your brand profile, and any connected-account tokens. Backups roll off within 30 days.

Deleting your data

Two ways: delete your account from the dashboard (Settings → Account), which removes everything described above; or email privacy@themiso.appand we will do it within 30 days. Disconnecting a social account removes that account's token immediately, without affecting the rest of your data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@themiso.appand we'll action it.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
